Current state
The current release does not intentionally set analytics, advertising or affiliate cookies. GA4, GTM, Cookiebot and reCAPTCHA configuration fields are empty, so those services are not loaded.
What cookies are
Cookies are small values stored by a browser for a website. They can be used for essential session functions, preferences, analytics, advertising or other purposes. Whether consent is needed depends on the technology, purpose and applicable law.
LocalStorage
This site uses browser localStorage for one preference: eco_storage_notice=closed. Its purpose is to remember that you dismissed the storage notice. Unlike a cookie, localStorage is accessed by site JavaScript and does not automatically accompany every HTTP request.
Session storage
The site's own JavaScript does not currently use sessionStorage.
Essential functionality
Navigation, article filters and the contact form do not require advertising cookies. The resource filter runs in the browser and does not persist your selected topic after leaving the page.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 is not active because no GA4 Measurement ID was provided. If a real ID is later configured, analytics loading and consent behaviour must be reviewed before deployment and this policy must be updated to describe the actual implementation.
Google Tag Manager
GTM is not active because no container ID was provided. If enabled later, the tags deployed through the container must be audited; a tag manager itself can load additional services depending on its configuration.
Cookiebot
Cookiebot is not active because no CBID was provided. The current notice is a simple first-party storage disclosure, not a claim that Cookiebot is managing consent.
reCAPTCHA
reCAPTCHA is not active because no site key was provided. The contact form currently uses a honeypot and server-side validation instead.
Google Maps
No map is embedded, so the page does not load Google Maps resources merely because a contact address is displayed.
Affiliate tracking
No active affiliate destination is present at launch. If affiliate links are later introduced, any cookies, parameters, local storage or other identifiers used for attribution should be documented, and any required preference controls should be implemented.
First-party and third-party technologies
A first-party storage item is set by this site. A third-party service may create or read data from another provider's domain or script. The current first-party preference does not create a cross-site advertising profile.
Duration
The localStorage preference remains until you clear site data or your browser removes it. No invented duration is stated for inactive analytics or advertising cookies.
How to clear storage
You can clear site data through your browser's privacy or storage settings. Doing so will make the storage notice appear again. Blocking all site storage should not prevent access to the editorial articles.
Browser controls
Modern browsers allow you to delete cookies, block third-party cookies, clear localStorage and manage site permissions. Exact menu names vary by browser and version.
Consequences of blocking
With the current build, blocking localStorage mainly means the notice may reappear. Future optional services may behave differently if they are actually enabled.
Changes
This policy must be reviewed whenever analytics, advertising, affiliate attribution, consent software, maps or anti-spam services are activated or materially changed.
